Many of you may already be familiar with Backstreet Gallery in Florence, Oregon. This is a cooperative gallery currently representing 23 artists, of which I gratefully am one. Currently, Backstreet Gallery is enjoying its 18th continuous year of showcasing local artists to both visitors and residents. Many seasonal visitors make a point of dropping in year after year to see what new works are on display. Of course, they are most welcome… and appreciated.
This summer, from June 6th through July 3rd, I am honored to be the featured artist at the gallery. This means new works will be on display. Approximately 15 pieces will be available for you to review. Some of the new pieces will be “trendy” (and large) metal prints. Though possibly not everyone’s first choice for home decor, this medium is winning me over. The impact of a black and white print when rendered on aluminum is quite striking. I like striking!
Please feel welcome and encouraged to attend the opening reception on “Second Saturday,” June 10th, 3-5 p. m. Enjoy food, drink, and music by Jeff Lovejoy. I will be there and look forward to meeting you.
Here is a quick peak at one new piece you will see on display.
